1- How old were you when you got your first tattoo? Where did you get tattooed and who did it?

I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday at a place called Tattoo Town in Lethbridge AB. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the guy who did it.

2- Did you have an apprenticeship? If yes, by whom and where? How long was it?

No I didn’t. I am a self taught tattooer.

3- What are the top 3 things you like to tattoo?

Honestly I like tattooing most styles but my favourite is doing my take on japanese style, anything illustrative, and any of the classic badass imagery like skulls, snakes, eagles, big cats, etc.

4- Do you like travelling and tattooing? Which conventions, guest spots were your favorites?

Yes I do like to travel with tattooing. Some favourite conventions are Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Montréal. Favourite guest spots have been Tattoos for the Individual, Bushido, Kapala and Planet Caravan.

5- Who are some people you have collected from? Tattoo pilgrimages, have you ever travelled to get tattooed or have been tattooed at a convention? How far have you gone to get tattooed?

I’ve been tattooed by James Tex, Kurt Wiscombe, Jarret Clarkson, Sean Treble, Dave Fried, Doug Fink, Kevin Johnson, James Jacobs, Jason Jones, Jonny Murdoch, Porter Coupal, Garrett Price (Gov) and Chris Dunn. Hopefully I’m not forgetting anyone. I haven’t travelled too far to get tattooed but I did attend a tattoo seminar weekend in Chicago called the worldwide tattoo conference and I attended a painting workshop weekend with Jeff Gogue and Dave Koenig in Grants Pass Oregon which were really cool!

6- What was your last tattoo? Do you still get tattooed?

My last tattoo is currently in progress and its a continuation of a dragon skeleton side piece now going onto my thigh done by Kurt Wiscombe.

7- One of your favorite machines, current or past?

My favourite machine is my current which is a Cheyenne Sol Nova unlimited. The innovation of wireless machines is a game changer for me. Although I do have a soft spot for my old coil workhorse Aaron Cain liner and my first machine which I built on an old spaulding supreme frame.

8- Where can we see and get tattooed by you this year? (Shop, guest spot, convention, etc.)

Always at the shop Monday-Friday, noon-6pm. Also at the Regina and Montréal conventions in 2026. Possibly more conventions but not sure which yet.

9- Other than tattooing is there any other type of art you like to do?

I like to paint when I have the time (which doesn’t seem like i’ve had for a while). But I’m wanting to make more time for sure. Not much left for march at the moment but new stuff is in the works so stay tuned!

10- What are your interests outside of tattooing?

I like playing music, especially bass guitar and have had several bands over the years. Currently have started a new doom metal band.
