PSC Tattoo  The oldest tattoo shop in Canada, since 1976. Tony started tattooing in New York City in the 1950’s. He had a shop on 48th street that closed in 1961 because of the city-wide tattoo ban that lasted until 1997. He moved to Montreal and opened Point St-Charles Tattoo in 1976. In 1990, Dave Cummings began to hang around the shop, hoping to convince Tony to teach him how to tattoo. His efforts paid off and he started tattooing at the shop in 1993.

Bert Grim Outer Limits Kari Barba (1960–) is a distinguished, award-winning tattoo artist with more than four decades of expertise in the industry. She is a co-owner of Outer Limits Tattoo & Museum, the oldest continually functioning tattoo studio in the United States and one of the oldest in the world. This establishment was founded in 1927 by an unidentified person as a photography studio with traces of tattooing. In 1954, American tattoo pioneer and photographer Bert Grimm acquired it. In 2003, Kari Barba purchased Grimm's shop at 22 Chestnut Place, now named Outer Limits Tattoo and Museum. It remains one of the oldest continuously operating tattoo shops in the continental United States.

Bob & Charlie Roberts Spotlight Tattoo. Established in 1982, Spotlight Tattoo is an American Tattoo Institution.


The first iteration of his Spotlight Tattoo was in New York City during the days when tattooing was still illegal. He rented a loft and worked in one half while living in the other. Eventually the scourge that is New York real estate led to him getting kicked out of his lease, so Roberts returned to the west coast and opened a new iteration of Spotlight Tattoo in a garage on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Eventually the spot would move into a proper shop next door, where it still is today.
